Dangerous and Toxic Chemicals in Conventional Hair Products

Dangerous ingredients

Below I have comprised of a list of chemicals and additives that are currently used today in most conventional hair products. I myself, do everything I can to provide my clients with the best products that are free of these ingredients. I have shown the classification of each of these ingredients in regards to them being carcinogens. A carcinogen is a substance capable of causing cancer in living tissue. I definitely do not ever want to get cancer nor do I want my clients either.

Never Trust the Front, Check the Label

Go ahead and check your labels on your hair and cosmetic products to see if they have made the list. I have even found that you need to be careful and simply check the labels for these ingredients, even at a health and wellness store. I have recently been to Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods and noticed their hair and skin care lines were full of toxic ingredients.

What happens if I have been exposed to these ingredients?

We use something great and cheap for situations like this. Depending on what we have been exposed to, we will use Activated Charcoal Caps to bind to substance through adsorption. If we are exposed to heavy metals, we will use Bentonite Clay. They are cheap to buy and simply work. If you ever consume a poison and go to the E.R., what do they give you? An activated charcoal drink.

I personally use O Way and Original & Mineral Hair Products on my clients as they are the highest quality professional product and color line to focus on natural and organic ingredients. They do this by removing and replacing as many of the synthetic ingredients as they can to have a quality product.
